How to Set Up Crawling Colors:
Add in red food dye
Put an empty clear cup of water between
Next put in the Yellow!
Put another empty clear cup in between
Then add in some blue!
Once all your primary colors are added, it is time to set up the towels for the colors to crawl across! To do this you will roll up a paper towel and take an edge to go into each cup (one primary and one empty/clear.
Keep adding in paper towels between the cups until you have made a color crawling caterpillar
Watch the colors should crawl.
Leave the jars to sit and watch the colors crawl.
Bridge Building Challenge – Using just some glue, craft sticks, a ruler, and some parchment paper, kids can build a bridge and test just how well it will hold up.

- 7 craft sticks
- 3 rubber bands
- a milk cap
- cotton balls {or other objects to launch}
- stack 5 craft sticks together, and rubber band the ends.
- Stack 2 craft sticks together, and wrap a rubber band around the very end.
- Separate the 2 craft sticks. Place the stack of 5 craft sticks between the 2 craft sticks.
- Wrap a rubber band around all of the craft sticks to hold the catapult together.
- Glue a milk cap {or something similar} on to serve as a launching platform.
- Push down on the top craft stick and release to launch an object from the milk cap.
